Drawstring purses that were attached at the waist were popular during the 15th century. By the 17th Century flat square purses came into style. not only in fabric but also in leather, beaded and metal.. I designed and created these Pocketbooks in a heart shape to bring back the Old World style. I'm hosting these in the Marie Antoinette group. They are 4" and open and close with a beaded chain to hang from the waist, lined inside with velvet.
I really enjoyed designing & creating these pockets books! Thanks for looking!...have a great day! :)
I altered this Titanic style pendant using a vintage shoe buckle with a crystal chain. I love the styles of 1912 and what the ladies wore...such glamor and beauty put me into a state of creating something feminine and old but also remembering and honoring the souls that were lost on the Titanic...

The Titanic 100th Anniversary the 15th of April 1912. I find the story both Sad and fascinating. The many lives that were lost that fatal night, it is so horrific and I find myself wanting to find out more about this Ship and the passengers that set out for it's maiden voyage. This is a good read that I can't seem to put down. If you are interested in the history of the Titanic I recommend this great book, with it's true accounts and original photos!
