I hope you enjoy your Journey into my Creative Muse with a Vintage Flair and a few whimsical pieces in the mix. I like using Collage, Mixed Media, Clay, Paints & Embellishments with my favorite Vintage images. I like to hunt for vintage items at Antique shops and Flea Markets to collect bits and pieces to add to my work. I like the simplicity and beauty of days gone by, anything that captures that old world look. The best part of adding Vintage Flare is not only the beauty it gives but not letting the past be forgotten.

Treasure hunting...

A couple of weeks ago I went on a treasure hunt in some of our local Antique shops, which is something I love to do! I love finding things I can use in my art creations or even something I can alter!...I found these old clothes pins that I'm going to script stamp and use them for ribbon holders. I also found lots of doily runners and smaller doilies which I also love to use for adding to my creations. You just never know what you'll find and when I see a good deal I never pass it up! Today is our 25th Anniversary and I wanted to share this little teapot and teacup I found... we went to a wonderful little ~Tea Parlor~ that was decorated with the most beautiful teacups and teapots, it was like being in another world, lots of wonderful things to eat and of course the most delicious Tea! I fell in love with this little treasure and had to have it! .....hope you like it too :)

Joined the ~ 3rd annual Witchel Gift Exchange ~ we are to make one Victorian Ornament surprise gift for our Secret Santa in the Millande Art group, so I decided to sew a small Victorian Stocking Ornament, with lots of lace & beads, it's about 5" tall....on the left side I made a beaded Angel with ribbons and lace that hang below.

Easter is coming, and I've been making Vintage Easter eggs, I found some reproduction scraps from the mid - 20th century. I used metalic paints to give them a sheen then varnish. I'm filling them up with little goodies!

I love shoes! yesterday I found some extra stash I forgot I had and made this Queen's shoe, I used a vintage paper and embellished it with flowers,pearls,lace, rhinestones and a small butterfly. I added a small heel, The shoe measures in lenth 7"
