Charlotte Shaker dolls...these old doll heads dug up in a doll factory in Thuringia, Germany which operated between 1890-1920.

Looking out the window....

I'm back....
still experimenting with Encaustic wax Painting, using a window frame decorative piece.
 I thought I'd add my painting to the background like I'm looking out the window...
this piece measures 21"x 12"
Just tinkering a bit today...
cold and cloudy out so... I'm staying inside and keeping warm!

My Encaustic Paintings ~Floral Landscape~

So sorry to be away for so long..
I have been doing some early spring cleaning and came upon some Encaustic supplies I ordered back in 2007 and forgot I had! Wow!..what a cool surprise!..
This is a totally new direction for me in my Art work as I'm honestly not a painter of any kind so with that said...
 I thought I'd tough it out and explore more on this interesting wax Paint!
 One of the oldest art mediums of it's time dates back 2500 yrs. to the Egyptians who painted with hot wax.
 It's called Encaustic Painting, I must say it's intriguing,as sometimes you may never know how it will turn out....

Using wax paint and a special Encasutic low temp iron..you can also use a low temp stylist, which I'm still waiting for in the mail which adds 
more creative form...

 ~Land and Sky~
